Babies R Us Now!

This weekend, Craig and I registered at Babies R Us and Target for so many baby things. We didn't really have a plan going into the stores because if you've never looked at pacifiers before or don't know of the best brands of sippy cups or know the difference between baby monitors...how do you survive the store?!! We did okay and at least I have some experience with daycare babies. I have used a couple different bottle warmers and knew what to get, we have nephews and saw some things their moms liked, and then we just thought the pacifiers and clothes and bedding were irresistibly cute. We were too drawn in by the sports stuff, so most of our things are sports themed, but we figured it was to be expected since our wedding was sports themed too. I guess we will see if Baby Wilson likes the Cubs and the Colts as much as daddy. :) We spent many hours (most of them in Babies R Us) registering and we had a moment of sitting in the rocking chairs, researching the cribs on our iPhones. As Craig was searching, I was staring at a wall of very expensive bedding sets. Our favorite was the classic sports bedding and I said, Baby (I think I actually said the name we think we have picked out for him...but I must be careful not to slip that to anyone but Craig), kick if you want the sports bedding...3, 2, 1. And he kicked right on 1! Haha. We thought it was hilarious and although it was like $200 for the set, we registered for it anyway. Target didn't take us quite as long, but all in all we left happily and unstressed. Yay! We also came out of it with end of the season cubs onesies and t-shirts for like $3 each! We were thrilled.
After registering, Craig was soooo hungry, and Baby Wilson followed shortly :) haha. We ate together at Olive Garden with one of our wedding gift cards (yes, we still have a few!). We shared an appetizer, unlimited (1 refill) salad and breadsticks, and Steak Gorgonzola Alfredo. And yes...we ate it all but one breadstick. It was so nice to have a day just the two of us. Craig sacrificed the Notre Dame game at home (and claims he found cheap enough tickets we could have boughten the day of) to spend the day with Baby and me.
Another quick story, I have been dying for Craig to feel the baby kicking. The feeling is so huge to me that I feel like my whole belly is moving from the outside too...but he couldn't feel it. Finally, one night, Craig laid his ear up to my belly and when the baby kicked, I was to tap Craig so he knew when he did. Although it sounds silly, Craig heard a whoosh right when baby kicked. :) It was the closest he's been to feeling it, but it made me happy to know that he knew I wasn't making it up and he could share in it too. :) It is so exciting for us, if you can't tell. My favorite thing is to just lay there and wait for each kick. If I'm not careful, I could do it all day. :)
